Քաղաքացիական հասարակություն, տերմին, որով բնորոշվում է հասարակության զարգացման որոշակի մակարդակ։ Համաքաղաքացիների միջև գոյություն ունեցող տնտեսական, մշակութային, իրավական և քաղաքական զարգացած փոխհարաբերություններով ժողովրդավարական հասարակություն է։ Այդ փոխհարաբերությունները, որպես կանոն, օրենքով պաշտպանված են պետական իշխանության մարմինների ուղղակի միջամտությունից[1]։
Քաղաքացիական հասարակությունը բաց, պլյուրալիստական հասարակություն է։
