Placebo (/pləˈsiboʊ/ անգլ.՝ Փլասեբո), բրիտանական ալտերնատիվ ռոք խումբ է, հիմնվել է 1994 թվականին` Բրայան Մոլքոի և Սթեֆան Օլսդալի կողմից: Քիչ ուշ նրանց է միանում թմբկահար Ռոբերտ Շուլցբերգը, որին 1996-ին փոխարինում է Բրայանի ընկեր Սթիվ Ֆորրեսթը: 2007 թ. հոկտեմբերի 1-ին Սթիվ Հյուիթը լքում է խումբը: 2008 թ. ամռանը Փլասեբո-ն գտնում է նոր թմբկահար` Սթիվ Ֆորրեսթին: 2012 թվականի դրությամբ խումբը թողարկել է 6 պաշտոնական ալբոմ, որոնք ողջ աշխարհում վաճառվել են ավելի քան 10 միլիոն օրինակով:[1]
2009 թ. նոյեմբերի 5-ին խումբը ստացավ «EMA-2009» մրցանակաբաշխության «Լավագույն ալտերնատիվ խումբ» մրցանակը:
2012 թ. հոկտեմբերի 15-ին թողարկվեց խմբի նոր` «B 3» մինիալբոմը: 2012 թվականի դրությամբ խումբը թողարկել է 6 պաշտոնական ալբոմ, որոնք ողջ աշխարհում վաճառվել են ավելի քան 10 միլիոն օրինակով:[1]
