Outfit7 is a Slovenian video game developer, best known as the creator of the Talking Tom and Friends app and media franchise. The company was founded by Samo and Iza Login. The company operates in 7 studios worldwide and almost exclusively focuses on mobile games related to the Talking Tom and Friends franchise. In January 2017, the company was acquired by United Luck Consortium and then sold to Zhejiang Jinke for over USD 1 billion.

The Talking Tom and Friends franchise was created with the launch of the Talking Tom Cat app. It focused on anthropomorphic cats and dogs repeating things said to it by the user, before shifting focus to other apps such as endless-runner games, virtual pet games and the like.

The franchise reached 300 million downloads 19 months after its launch. The app franchise then went on to hit one billion downloads in June 2013.[6] Talking Tom and Friends apps have been downloaded over 12 billion times as of April 2020.[7][8]

Партнёры

Due to legal restrictions imposed by the Yugoslavian government during the 1980s, the first aircraft was flown secretly in the evening, between dusk and dark. The flying times and triangular shape of the hang-glider style wings earned the aircraft the nickname "bats" which was adopted by the company naming themselves after the Italian word for bat, pipistrello.[15]

Initially Pipistrel produced only powered hang gliders, designed by Ivo Boscarol, who produced experimental ultralight trikes with a group of his friends as a private enterprise starting in the mid-1980s.[16] The first serially-built ultralight trike, the Basic, was built in 1989, so the company counts this as the official beginning of Pipistrel, although the first mention of the brand name appeared in 1987. Thirty-two examples of the Basic were sold. The Plus was added to the line in 1990, the Spider in 1992 and Twister in 1998. The Spider was marketed in Europe in the early 2000s by Flight Team UG & Company AG of Ippesheim, Germany.[17] During the company's first ten years in operation, the trike models were exported to more than 30 countries in Europe and Africa, with almost 600 units were produced. The production of trikes was discontinued in the early 2000s.[18]

In 1992 the company was officially registered as Pipistrel d.o.o. on 18 November 1992, with Vida Lorbek as the first manager.[19]

In the mid-1990s, when composite materials became more widely used, the company moved from the production of powered hang-gliders to ultralight aircraft that resemble full-sized airplanes. One of the early models, the Sinus, was the first serially-built ultralight made out of composite materials.[20]

In 2003 company moved into a purpose built facility next to the Ajdovščina Airport.[21]

In 2004 Pipistrel released the world's first side-by-side 2-seat self-launching glider, the Pipistrel Taurus.[22]

In 2007 and 2008 Pipistrel claimed two consecutive victories at NASA Centennial Challenges. In the 2007 Personal Air Vehicle challenge, the modified aircraft Pipistrel Virus, owned by Vance Turner and piloted by Pipistrel's general distributor for USA Michael Coates, won most of the categories.[23] In 2008 similar results were achieved by the team at "General Aviation Technology" challenge.[24]

Devido a restrições legais impostas pelo governo da Jugoslávia durante a década de 1980, a primeira aeronave voou secretamente à noite, entre o anoitecer e o escuro. O tempo de voo e a forma de asa-delta fez com que a aeronave fosse apelidada de "pipistrellus", morcego em Latim, o que deu nome à marca.

Em agosto de 2012, a Pipistrel foi atingida por uma breve proibição de importação emitida pela Administração Federal de Aviação.  A Pipistrel tinha aberto uma fábrica na Itália para beneficiar o país de acordos bilaterais com os Estados Unidos. Em julho de 2015, a Siemens, provedora do motor Dynadyn usado no modelo Alpha Eletro, alertou a Pipistrel para que não usasse aqueles motores para voos sobre a água, quando a Pipistrel estava prestes a executar um voo histórico de ida e volta movido a eletricidade em vez de gasolina por cima do Canal da Mancha. Ao mesmo tempo, a Airbus preparava exatamente o mesmo, com um avião movido por um motor também fornecido pela Siemens, e pensa-se que a Siemens foi pressionada pela Airbus.[26][27]

Em 12 de outubro de 2015,  a Pipistrel ganhou o concurso internacional emitido pelo Ministério Indiano da Defesa, para o fornecimento de 194 Pipistrel Virus SW 80 para a Força Aérea Indiana, entre outros órgãos de defesa da Índia.[28][29]
