Բրիտանական Հնդկաստանի բաժանում

Հնդկաստանի բաժանում (անգլ.՝ Partition of India), Բրիտանական Հնդկաստանի բաժանումը երկու անկախ պետությունների՝ Պակիստանի (1947 թվականի օգոստոսի 14) և Հնդկաստանի (1947 թվականի օգոստոսի 15)։ Այս իրադարձությունը բերել է խոշոր արյունալի բախումների, որոնցում, ըստ պաշտոնական տվյալների, զոհվել է մոտավորապես 1 միլիոն մարդ, ինչպես նաև բնակչության զանգվածային գաղթի (մոտավորապես 18 միլիոն մարդ, որոնցից գրեթե 4 միլիոնը հաջորդող մարդահամարներում «չեն հայտնաբերվել»)։

Բաժանումը կատարվել է կրոնական պատկանելության հիման վրա․ մուսուլման մեծամասնություն ունեցող շրջաններից կազմվել է Պակիստանը, իսկ մուսուլման մեծամասնություն չունեցող շրջաններից՝ Հնդկաստանը։

• Քաշմիրի հարցով Հնդկաստանի և Պակիստանի միջև տարածքային վեճ
• Սիկկիմի ձևական գոյությունը 1947-1975 թվականներին որպես «պետություն Հնդկաստանի գերիշխանության ներքո» (հետագայում մտել է Հնդկաստանի կազմում որպես 22-րդ նահանգ)
• Նեպալի, Բութանի և Մալդիվյան կղզիների անկախացում (Հնդկաստանի հետ ունենալով հին կապեր՝ նրանք երբեք չեն մտել Բրիտանական Հնդկաստանի կազմի մեջ, և նրանց սահմանները ոչ մի կերպ չեն շոշափվել բաժանման հետևանքով)։
