Պետրոս Տեր-Մաթոսյան (Պետրոս Տէր Մաթոսեան, անգլ.՝ Bedross Der Matossian[2], 1978[1], Արևելյան Երուսաղեմ), ժամանակակից Մերձավոր Արևելքի պատմության և Նեբրասկա-Լինքոլնի համալսարանի Հիմեն Ռոզենբերգի հրեական ուսումնասիրությունների պրոֆեսոր։ Նաև Պատմության բաժնի փոխնախագահն է։ Տեր-Մաթոսյանը ծնվել և մեծացել է Արևելյան Երուսաղեմում[3]։ Երուսաղեմի հրեական համալսարանի շրջանավարտ է, որտեղ իր ասպիրանտուրան սկսել է Իսլամական և Մերձավոր Արևելքի ուսումնասիրությունների բաժնում։ 2008 թվականին Միջին Արևելքի պատմության իր դոկտորականը ստացել է Կոլումբիայի համալսարանի միջին արևելյան, հարավասիական և աֆրիկյան ուսումնասիրությունների բաժնում։ 2008-2010 թվականներին Մասաչուսեթսի տեխնոլոգիական ինստիտուտում դասավանդել է միջին արևելյան պատմություն, իսկ 2014 թվականի գարնանը Չիկագոյի համալսարանում եղել է այցելու դասախոս։ Հետաքրքրությունների ոլորտները ներառում են էթնիկ քաղաքականությունը Մերձավոր Արևելքում, միջէթնիկ բռնությունները Օսմանյան կայսրությունում, Պաղեստինի պատմությունը և Հայոց ցեղասպանության պատմությունը։ Հայկական ուսումնասիրությունների ընկերության նախկին նախագահն է[4], նաև՝ I.B.Tauris և Bloomsbury Press կողմից հրատարակվող «Հայերը ժամանակակից և վաղ ժամանակակից աշխարհում» մատենաշարի խմբագիրը[5]։ Անդամակցում է բազմաթիվ միջազգային կրթական հաստատությունների տնօրենների խորհրդում և բազմաթիվ ամսագրերի խմբագրական խորհրդում, որոնցից ամենահայտնին ոլորտի առաջատար Միջին Արևելքի ուսումնասիրությունների միջազգային հանդեսն է (անգլ.՝ International Journal of Middle East Studies (IJMES))։
