«Մտածե՛ք երեխաների մասին», արտահայտություն, որը վերածվել է հռետորական հնարքի[1][2][3]։ Տրամաբանական փաստարկների բացակայության կամ թուլության դեպքում բանախոսը էքսպրեսիվորեն կոչ է անում մտածել երեխաների մասին՝ մատնանշելով որոշակի սպառնալիք (գուցե խիստ չափազանցված), որպեսզի ունկնդիրներին համակեն երեխաների պաշտպանության բնազդով առաջացած զգացմունքները, և այդ զգացմունքների ազդեցության ներքո նրանք չնկատեն բանախոսի դիրքորոշման թուլությունը[1][2][3]։ Այսպես, օրինակ, «երեխաների մասին մտածելու» կոչն օգտագործվել է գրաքննություն մտցնելու կողմնակիցների կողմից, որպեսզի երեխաների պաշտպանության անվան տակ սահմանափակվի տեղեկատվության հասանելիությունը ողջ հասարակության, ներառյալ մեծահասակների համար[4][5]։

Խորհրդարանական բանավեճերի վարման վերաբերյալ «Art, Argument, and Advocacy» (2002) ձեռնարկի հեղինակների կարծիքով՝ արտահայտության օգտագործումը բանավեճում դատողությունը փոխարինում է հույզերով[1]։ Էթիկայի մասնագետ Ջեք Մարշալը 2005 թվականին գրել է, որ արտահայտության ժողովրդականությունը բխում է բանականությունը կասեցնելու նրա ունակությունից[2]։ «Երեխաների մասին մտածելու» կոչն օգտագործվել է գրաքննության կողմնակիցների կողմից, որպեսզի երեխաներին զերծ պահի ընկալվող սպառնալիքից[4][5]։ Սքոթ Բիթին «Community, Space and Online Censorship» գրքում (2009) նշում է, որ ինֆանտիլիզմի ոգով երեխաների՝ որպես պաշտպանության կարիք ունեցող անմեղ մարդկանց նկարագրությունը մաքրության հասկացությամբ տարվածության ձևերից մեկն է[4]։

2011 թվականին «Journal for Cultural Research» պարբերականում տպագրված հոդվածում նշվում է, որ արտահայտությունն սկսել է ավելի հաճախ օգտագործվել, քան նախկինում, բարոյական խուճապի պատճառով[6]։

2012 թվականին Ռուսաստանում ընդունված № 139-ФЗ դաշնային օրենքը, որը նախատեսված է երեխաներին իրենց առողջությանը և զարգացմանը վնաս հասցնող տեղեկատվությունից պաշտպանելու համար, դեռևս քննարկման և ընդունման ընթացքում փորձագետների կողմից քննադատվել է որպես ինտերնետային գրաքննություն։ Հետագայում այդ մտավախությունները բազմիցս հաստատվել են իրավապահ պրակտիկայում։

Ծաղրանմանակում. «Լավջոյի օրենք»[խմբագրել | խմբագրել կոդը]

Այս կոչը օգտագործվել է Walt Disney Pictures-ի «Մերի Փոփինս» (1964) ֆիլմում, երբ տիկին Բենքսը դայակին խնդրում է չգնալ և ասում է. «Մտածե՛ք երեխաների մասին»[7]։ Այս արտահայտությունն օգտագործվել է որպես երգիծական հղում «Սիմփսոնները» անիմացիոն սերիալում 1996 թվականին[8][9], երբ Հելեն Լավջոյը կոչ է անում, որ «ինչ-որ մեկը, խնդրում եմ, մտածի երեխաների մասին»[10][11][12] հորինված Սպրինգֆիլդ քաղաքի բնակիչների բանավեճի ժամանակ[10][13][14]։ Չարլզ Տեն Բրինքը «Georgia State University Law Review» հոդվածում Լավջոյի արտահայտությունը համարում է հաջող պարոդիա[10]։ Հետագայում «երեխաների մասին մտածելու» կոչի օգտագործումը հաճախ ծաղրի առարկա է դարձել[5]։ «Սիմփսոնները» մուլտֆիլմում արտահայտության օգտագործումից հետո այն սկսել են անվանել «Լավջոյի օրենք»[12], «Հելեն Լավջոյի պաշտպանություն» և «Հելեն Լավջոյի սինդրոմ»[15][16][17]։
