Current Strategy of Wikimedia Armenia for years 2015-2018 was developed 2015, which was an update and replacement for the previous 2013 strategy. Current Strategy for 2017-2020 The framework is supported by a more detailed two year strategic plan, which will next be updated as part of annual planning cycle.

Strategic Framework

Wikimedia Armenia states that open access to knowledge is a fundamental right, and a garantee for social and economic development. We work with new approach for dissemination Wikimedia ideas and projects and to enable people and organisations to contribute to a shared understanding of the world through the democratic creation, distribution and consumption of knowledge. We are committed to the ideal of a world in which every single human being can freely share in the sum of all knowledge, and believe that here in Armenia, we can play a unique and important role in implementing that vision.

Our vision is of a more tolerant, informed and democratic society through the shared creation of, and access to, open knowledge.

Our mission is to support and advocate for the development of open knowledge, working in partnership with volunteers, the cultural and education sectors and other organisations to make knowledge available, usable and reusable online.
