Բրետվալդա, անգլոսաքսական տերմին։ Այս տերմինը վերաբերում է որոշ արքաներին, որոնց հաջողվել է բացի իրենց տարաշքներից, կառավարել նաև ուրիշինը։ Այս տերմինը օգտոգործվում է մինչ օրս, սակայն օգտագործվել է հիմնականում 5֊10֊րդ դարերում։
